Understanding ADHD & ADD – How Occupational Therapy Helps

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) are among the most common neurodevelopmental conditions in children and adolescents. Affected children often face challenges regulating their attention, controlling impulses, or managing distractions. In daily life, at home, and in school routines, this can lead to significant stress for the child and the family.

Occupational therapy addresses these challenges directly: Rather than seeking to "cure" these traits, it empowers your child to develop practical coping strategies for daily life. Through targeted behavioral strategies, sensory regulation, and engaging concentration training, your child learns to manage attention, plan everyday tasks independently, and build lasting self-esteem.

Parents often face the challenge of finding qualified and sensitive support for their child in a timely manner. In our private-only practice, we offer customized developmental guidance for your child – completely free from the typical time constraints and stress of public insurance-based clinics.

🎯

Targeted Attention Training in a Secure Setting

When concentration, impulse control, or managing everyday school routines become a burden, a structured and supportive approach helps. Our occupational therapy treatment directly targets your child's individual strengths. Through targeted cognitive-behavioral strategies and concentration training, we sustainably strengthen your child's self-regulation and self-confidence.

Why 1-on-1 Support Makes the Difference

Children with ADHD easily become overstimulated in large groups or busy environments. In our practice, we intentionally maintain a strict 1-on-1 individual therapy format. This guarantees your child the therapist's undivided attention, minimizes distractions, and allows us to adjust every treatment session to your child's current focus and energy level.

Billing is transparently based on the official fee schedule for therapists (GebüTh) under a private contract. Note: Direct billing with statutory public health insurances (GKV) is structurally excluded in our private practice. Private health insurance companies and supplementary tariffs usually reimburse these costs in full or in part, depending on your individual plan.
